GraniteDS 1.1
New version of GraniteDS 1.1 was released yestarday. Granite is an open source alternative to LCDS/BlazeDS Adobe products. It introduces several cool features and the one I like most is Tide framework that allows very tight integration with JBoss Seam framework which runs on the server side. Future versions will also support Spring and EJB3 on similar level as Seam is currently.
Also brand new Granite Eclipse Builder was released, it is very handful eclipse plugin that can generate AS3 classes based on Java Entity beans.

Do you plan to create any new screencast tutorial based on this version? Also do you have any example code that you can share (something other than what comes with GraniteDS)…I have been looking for more examples.

Just a note taken from the GraniteDS discussion group… you may want to base your example off of the prior version of Seam (I use Seam 2.0.2.SP1 BTW)…

Of course, support for Seam 2.1 is planned, but I’ve had no time to check all API changes for now….

Just to let you know that Seam 2.1 support is available in GraniteDS 1.2.0 RC1.
