What do we do when not Flexing…
Last week I was out for few days to catch some wind, last days of summer and of course relax before upcoming busy busy busy, weeks and months… As you probably know MAX LA is coming very soon and I’m also planning very intensive activities around Flash Platform this fall – now it is top secret but stay tuned!
In order to clean my head I decided to visit Prasonissi (mecca for wind and kite surfers). I have a feeling that we developers have tendency to forget that doing any sports or having active leisure away from our computers, emails, blogs, favorite IDE’s is very important!
So what do you do when you are not Flexing?

Dude I am so envious of you. When I was younger I did yachting. Maybe I should learn windsurfing as it is easier to put the board on the car and go to the seaside

Greetings from Switzerland!
Who said geeks don’t have activities not involving a mouse and a keyboard?
Well, apart from some pet projects not work related but might fall into that category, during summer, if I am not around Flex, Flash or PHP, I’ll be eithwr Hiking or Sailing and during winter that will be Airboarding what takes most of my weekends.
Recently I had a short holiday (one week in Croatia) and I decided not to take ANY of the usual gadgets: no laptop or even netbook, no ebook reader, no camera and even the phone was off. It felt very weird in the beginning (almost like not breathing) but next time I will do the same for sure.

Wow, Airboarding looks cool, have to try it this winter:)
The equipment for that is dedicated to snow or this is something like water mattress?

Dedicated equipment. It’s quite a bad idea to do it with a water mattress
Specially because you go downhill, head’s first at speeds around 50 to 90Km/h.
You usually zoom past skiers and snowboarders if in a shared slope. It’s my official winter sport for 3 years now (no Ski or Snowboard).
But it’s quite easy and intuitive. You can find equipment here, where I buy mine:
http://airboard.com (shopping section. Site works BAD with firefox)

Nice!
When not flexing – traveling to the second part of the world.
And I advise everyone to do sth like that…
…but remember! Browsing via google maps do not count

I agree, that one of best way to enjoyed life is to have fun specially when you get bored.
In fact windsurfing can be said to straddle both the laid-back culture of surf sports and the more rules-based environment of sailing. The sport has a potentially shallower (longer) learning curve when compared to other so-called “extreme” sports. But, are there easy way to learn surfing?
